Okay, let's wrap up this wanderlust. Not really — I'm currently writing this piece while traveling. But, there's still some things left to tell you about Cancun. July 22nd - July 29th // The last time I was somewhere tropical was Aruba about six years ago. I had picked out the resort from a photograph in a Triple A magazine, and not much time later we hopped on a plane out of Hartford. This time around, the trip plans weren't in my hands so much. It's been two weeks since I got home from Cancun, but the mems (and the tan lines) are still fresh.
If anything else, this relaxing resort vacation was the perfect chance to catch up on sleep. Early morning flights and packing just hours before take-off rewards itself later when you're beach bound.
The week was filled with lots of sun, some quality time with a new aquatic friend and endless opportunities to be surrounded by the palms, or enjoy a poolside taco. I booked through The Vacationers by Emma Straub, and checked 'ordering room service' off my bucket list. Did you catch that pun back there?
Ocean air, one-piece bathing suits and hotel robes aside, I'm happy to be back in reality. Adventures are my favorite, and traveling has a way of refreshing your mind - but I was all too ready to get my feet back in America and hit the ground running.
